We tend to accumulate clutter in every corner in our lives -physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  I can always guage where my mind is by the condition of my immediate space - if I am irritable, overhwhelmed and depressed, you can pretty much guess that my surroundings are a mess.  It has been said by zen masters, personal growth gurus and my grandmother Jessie “A cluttered house is a cluttered mind.” Here is what you can do TODAY to begin the process of decluttering and simplifying your space.

We live in a world full of tasks, lists, distractions, things we have to do, things we don’t have to do but do anyway, and so on.  Life clutter, in my opinion, is a main source of unhappiness in our lives.  It can take up brain space that could be used for pursuits of happiness, clarity, and love.

I have pulled a list of 102 ways to simplify your life.  I am putting these forth one at a time so that we can really put them into practice.

This is not a completely unselfish task - I too will be taking to heart these simplification techniques to help keep me balanced and unencumbered.  At the end of every post I will be seeking your inputs and tips for simplicity.  I would love to hear from you!

Whether we like it or not, or whether or not we want to admit it, money has its own energy.  An inanimate piece of linen with specialized inks and secret codes can create nations and cripple marriages.  Yet we rarely think about our personal relationship to money.  In this post I will share with you some ways that have helped me heal my relationship with money.

Last weekend in weekend in Novi, Michigan I had the opportunity to sit in on a three and a half hour lecture with Wayne Dyer.  Although much of it in the beginning was what he covered in last year’s lecture about his experiences living the Tao, he gave us insight into the next book that is due out next April/May: Excuses Be Gone:  How to Change Lifelong Defeating Thinking.  Later in the article I will lay out the 7 “paradigms” that he gave to help heal and correct thinking habits, especially the ones that we took ownership of in our childhood. He also gave us a sneak preview into a large budget movie he will be releasing in January: From Ambition to Meaning: Finding Your Life’s Purposes – starring Portia DeRossi and Wayne Dyer himself.

As I sit here in my living room on a fall afternoon devoid of sun and motivation, I start to feel guilty about the to-do list that sits in my outlook waiting to be launched.  It’s 3:10 pm and although I did manage to throw on some sweats, do a couple of loads of laundry (they arent folded yet), and get to some personal (non-business of course) emails that I have stuffed to the side for  weeks, I have pretty much lived on the lazy-boy with the TV tuned to HGTV and Food Network and my laptop glued to my lap.
